Brief Description:
The main objective of the study is to assess the impact of DILP on the reduction of poverty and
vulnerability of its beneficiaries, particularly through sustained livelihoods, and determine if such
impact vary across gender. Specifically, the impact evaluation aims to:
1. Determine the changes in income and savings of beneficiaries and examine variation across gender;
2. Ascertain the impact of livelihood assistance on the beneficiaries’ expenditures on food, healthcare,
household utility consumption, shelter, and education/training; and examine variation across
gender;
3. Assess the extent of impact of the livelihood program on the beneficiaries’ social protection and
resilience to loss in other income, employment or wealth assets; illness, accidents or deaths; and
weather or calamities; and examine variation across gender; and
4. Provide recommendations for the improvement of program implementation.
